| I know we all take it for granted, but I guess its easy to see how the average person just assumes they are one and the same Black Rat (or Eastern if you're new school ) Black Racer Racer at the den site Juvenile Black Rat (full belly on this fellow) Juvenile Racer

| They are the same: Photo 1 - It has a triangular head = copperhead Photo 2 - It stuck-out it's tongue = copperhead Photo 3 - Head is up "like a cobra" = copperhead Photo 4 - All snakes with a pattern = copperhead
Great comparison shots! Just need a juvenile racer.
