| Simply pets has ridiculous prices on ball pythons. Some one told me to check that store out and I did. They are selling a 2011 male mojave for 360 bucks. | |

| We've been at least once to most every place in Hampton Roads and I think Pet Paradise is way ahead of every other store. Not to say some of the others aren't good, just not really comparable for reptiles or birds. | |

| Yea we still to Pet Paradise for most of our stuff... as for supplies we used to go to simply pets (for hides and such) but we picked up a bunch at Tinley.
You can find decent deals on Shows... it just depends what you are looking for and if the buy is motivated to sell it or not.. sometimes people have some that if they sell they sell if not they will keep them and use them for future projects...
We have been to quite a few shows... we have never really been disappointed on anything... just dont LOW BALL the vendors...

| Simply pets is a good place too. I agree though, you can't beat shows for deals, especially on certain supplies. So far we've only been to the Chesapeake one, (WILL make it to Daytona one day!!!!), but even that tiny show had a steal on a lot of basic supplies. | |

| That would be great if they did. While still far, Myrtle Beach is much more doable for us than Daytona. | |

| We didn't buy anything when we went to Myrtle Beach. We left at like 2am, arrived, went to the show and drove home same day. We only went to the Sunday day of show. But it was a nice drive... we didnt do alot of site seeing while we were there though. | |

That rumor has been going around to some degree but the fact is the two shows are organized by different firms. Daytona has better years than others depending on what you are in the market for however the fact remains that some very rare species can be found there. It is not uncommon for international vendors to setup at the National breeders Expo. The Myrtle Beach show is just another Repticon. This is not to say that it could not eventually turn into something larger however. To add a response to the original question one of my favorite stores in central Va is Pets and Aquatic Warehouse in Lynchburg. Their prices are high but in my experience this is true of all brick and mortar businesses, after all they have a lot of overhead to pay. If you are looking for best prices then the internet and trade shows are the way to go. Chip

| yea 3 brothers work/run one and the fourth runs the other with his wife. they are more pricey though, and she can be a hatefull thing too. but she has her nice points. but yea i was tlakin to her the other day they breed alot of the snakes and dragons there. atleast thats what she told me, which leaves me to wonder if they do the breeding why are they so over priced compaired to other stores? lol but both stores and owners are pretty cool so its ok | |

| The local of Simply Pets may be more convenient to someone that lives out in Deep Creek or Western Branch area of Chesapeake as opposed to going to Independence in VA Beach...
We havent been to any of the stores lately unless we are buying rats and mice... otherwise we buy all of our snakes from breeders becaues all Pet Stores prices can be a little ridiculous especially if you know someone who has what you want.
