I can't remember what it's called, but the effect that happens when a bullet or bow falls over distance after being shot. How bad is that with compound bows or cross bows? Does the sight compensate for distance by aiming it higher? I imagine an arrow has to drop quicker than a bullet and it would be harder to go hunting for the first time with a bow over a gun? I want to go hunting some time in the next few years and I'd rather go with a bow over a gun, but bows seem like they would need a lot more practice over a rifle. I could hit something with a gun, no doubt, but bows are intimidating LOL.

The arrows do drop as you stated and the wind will push or pull it also. one of the key things to work on is too pull and rest the same way every time. I don't hunt any more but it is harder to do with a bow but more fun. and branches leaves can change the flight of the arrow. and then like you said practice .
