Hamburg June 9

I'm hitting up hamburg in June. Anyone else going?

Cheer Competition in Midlothian that weekend. will not be attending. Really hoping to go to Myrtle Beach in August.

Nope but I'll be there for the August show.

Yep, I'm leaving around 5am to meet a guy there to pick up some snakes. I'm not sure whether I am going in yet because I didn't want to leave the snakes in the car for long and I know if I go in, I'm going to be there for a while.

Would like to go, but I'm in a pool tournament. Our team is in the finals. If we win, we go to Vegas for National competition.

I won't be going to this one, but I'm planning on attending the August show.

Nick, See if you can meet up with him later after the show?? I would think they would be ok depending on the weather but I am not too too sure and it depends on how long you stay? If you know a vendor that is vending the show maybe they can get the snakes and hold them for you? We did that when we went to Tinley and picked up a snake outside the show before it started.

I'm hoping to get there around noon depending on traffic. Man, three hours away, that must be nice!

Nick - we left here around 2AM and got there around 8:30 (that included me making him stop for an hour to sleep). Think of traffic and decide if you are taking 95 or going up 13 and be prepared for tolls in Delaware and PA if you take the turnpikes. I think 95 was a little bit quicker but we ran into tolls more often that way.

I go up 15 it's easier, less traffic, although it's a 20 miles west of the beltway from Tyson's Corner. I also live in leesburg, but that may save you some headaches.

Not sure how far off track that is from coming this way from Hampton Roads?

Ok I confused. Mapquest says there are tolls on the eastern shore but none on 95?

apparently the quickest way for you is to go up the eastern shore (with a 10 dollar toll for the bay bridge tunnel). Or you can go up 95. Either way heading west to leesburg may add about 1/2 hour to the trip if there is no traffic. If there is traffic you'll be saving about that much time.

95 has no tolls and neither does 15.

If you go 95, you'll get on 270 after the beltway and then up north to 15. There are no tolls along those roads. The eastern shore, there are tolls. The first one being the bay bridge tunnel (10 dollar toll) if they haven't raised the prices. Then I don't know what other tolls there are. Or you can go up 95, cut over to 66 west into leesburg and head north on 15 from there.

Looks like I'll be going to Hamburg the day after the show due to a schedule conflict.

Umm.... that may hinder your ability to got to the actual reptile show.

You do have a point. large crowds venomous snakes lovely ladies but body odor.... hmmm... I think I'll still go.

So I never made it to hamburg, due to a late night drinking session which left me a bit on the hungover side this morning...lol Hope you had fun Nick! I'll be hitting the August show for sure.

Yeah I'm guessing my brother was having a good night too! He yacked in my car about an hour into the trip but we made it. 14 HOURS OF MINDLESS DRIVING

I went up there just to meet someone to pick up some snakes and I didn't really feel like going in but we did some power-herping and walked around the whole place in like 15 minutes, just to say we went. We were tight for time but it was neat.

The two best things I saw were a giant woma and a vanilla cream (drool).

It's not a place to be if u feel sick or hungover or hot... hope everyone had a good time. we may go to the next one?
