carpet pythons Carpetpythons

i am looking for something different. i now have ball pythons and i plan on breeding them next year but i wanted a different snake and i was thinking about carpets. they are really cool looking and ive heard they can be fiesty, which i kinda like. i would love a BIG snake but that wont happen, im lucky the wife lets me have my balls lol! so what does everyone think? who has these neat snakes that can give me some advice? im open to other suggestions as well, carpets were just my first thought. thanks for reading Smile

Yeah, I like that. I like my snakes to have personalities so I'd rather them be nasty then just lay there. Luckily most of my ball pythons have some personality Smile

9 feet is a bit smaller than 18........ So they are small to me.

Lol your only comparison in this thread has been ball pythons, so the comparison would be more like 4 ft to 9 ft, which makes it big. Smile But I guess if you are looking for alternatives to anacondas and Burmese...sure...it's 'small.'

well our perception of big is a bit different. maybe i should have said.......

i would love a insanely gigantic snake but that wont happen, im lucky the wife lets me have my balls, which are much smaller than the insanely gigantic snakes that i would like to have that can reach lengths of 18+ feet. so what does everyone think? who has these neat snakes that can give me some advice? im open to other suggestions as well, carpets were just my first thought. thanks for reading.

better?

i've got a jungle and he is indeed a bit feisty. but, he's also young. everything i've read/heard suggests that they calm down as they age. irain jayas are the smallest of the genus and they usually don't get larger than 7 feet in females. jungles get a little bigger and coastals, bredlis and darwins can get 10 ft +. they're not as stout as a ball or burm but from what ive seen their jaws are stronger. hope that helps.

Wow you don't have to freak out, I was just pointing out that I had no idea you meant small in comparison to larger pythons than balls.
