What if my boas are Calabar Boa (Charina reinhardtii), Arabian Sand Boa (Eryx jayakari) and West African Sand Boa (Eryx muelleri)? All three of these boa species lay eggs.

well you didn't specify old world fossorial boas now did you?

All joking aside, though, I was never into the sand boas... I recently had a loss in my collection, my rainbow boa died out of the blue... it was young too..has anyone had this happen to them? It was eating fine, it was active, had her for about 2 years (got her as a yearling) and then one day it just dropped dead, no indication of disease, no lethargy, I had fed her a week prior...weird.

I lost a hondo maybe a month ago. Just like that out of no where. Was only 5, this was to be her first breeding year. On top of that it was a vary nice albino bicolor, my fav one of the Hondos.

I had a friend of mine whose copper head exploded one day. Literally exploded. that was strange... blood guts everywhere...

I haven't had that happen to a snake, but it did to my Euro. glass lizard, he was 2, very healthy, active and one day I came home and he was dead. He was my favorite lizard too!
