Must be nice. I'm watching cold, rain puddles form. I think if we see any over here, it will be after midnight and will end before I'm up.

so, in this winter wonderland. I am at work in Johnson City, TN about 25 miles from my home and wife in Gate City, VA. The interstate, I26, has been closed and now the local roads to this office have been closed…..ummmm, seems I may be spending the night at work. Haha.

You an me both... i do that every night at work though.. and get paid for it..

I'm a night auditor at the Norfolk Marriott downtown Norfolk. Night owl, Graveyarder, insomniac.. that's what they call me there..

Great job. I did that when I was in college…loved it.

yeah, my daughter just started school and it is very convenient. I take her to school when i come home, go to bed after and when i get up i go and pick her up. works out fine but is draining.. i'm always tired, but to find a really good job here in the U.S. as a german is not easy..

It WAS a winter wonderland here in Richmond. It's turned from snow to a mix to rain and now the rain is melting the snow.

I was just outside on my last break. Looks like we ended up with about 4 to 5 inches. it has stopped now and the parking lot is mostly slush. Weather.com says it will be 14 to 22 tonight….if this crap all freezes, the morning will be impassible.

On a positive note, they opened the interstate, looks like I can go home. Silvia, have dinner ready at the normal time. Hahaha

Made it home!!! Got to within about 1/2 mile of my house, had to walk to rest of the way....but i am posted up in my living room in front of the heater....God is good. we past probably couple hundred stranded cars along I26 on the way home. We were stuck at one point for about 10 minutes, but I was able to push us back to clear roads....

Glad you made it safe. You should ship me about a half acre of snow, overnight priority, before it melts

I'm OK with snow, the cold that comes with it I can do without... chuck it was good to hear you made it back safe...

Snow is no fun when you are a nurse and have to be at work regardless...My four year old son sure did enjoy it though.

this is an outstanding picture! I was able to make it back in today, but it was a challenge. Im hoping they salt the roads well before I leave at 10pm tonight.
