| She was acting like she wanted to lay last night on day 19 I told her to go back to bed. I woke up this morning and said WTH, opened it up and found this. My brother got out of breeding and I am just caring for her and the eggs. Total came to five eggs, one egg/slug combo and one slug for Bosco.

| I'm not sure really, I think he ran every male he had with her at some point. She didn't go last year either and I can't remember what he had then.
I just candled the eggs and it looks like only one is good with veins. The other four are glowing yellow with no veins, although, one has a little tiny vein.
There is also a weird slug that feels soft with a white-opaque look to it that feels soft, not like a slug, and small. The ends of it look like a cut sausage link ... Weird.

| Give them a few days. Sometimes the veins show better after a couple of days. | |

| That's what I was thinking. Laying on day 20 might have something to do with it too | |

| Congrats Nick, sorry to hear about the slugs though. I probably asked this last time I was over, but could you tell me what your hot spot is set at for when your females are about to lay? | |

| Thanks guys!
Alex, in the enclosures, the hot spot for the RHP's are about 90 but they have so much room, they almost always lay just to the right or left of the panel. It's usually around 88, although I have had a couple girls lay directly under the hot spot. This girl was in a rack and while I thought I had the temp set to 88, she cleared all the aspen from the back and when I pulled the eggs, I shot a temp of 92. Her hide was not on the hot spot so I don't know if she went to the back for security or extra heat. Either way, when I can, I shoot for 88-90.

| The one with good vein development and the one with the partial vein look great now. The other three, not so much. This is my first time dealing with unfertilized eggs so I'm not confident in throwing them yet. One had a little fuzz on it yesterday and I cleaned it off with a q-tip and moved them away from the good ones. | |

| should ask me...its all i had last year!!!! 5 unfert or 6...im no pro but as long as they are away from good eggs i see no reason to toss them out...draw faces on them if they get nasty to make the more approachable. | |

| If you do it I want pics. You can get anti-fungal foot powder to sprinkle on the spots that start growing stuff. Works great. | |
