Richmond Show Stuff?

I couldn't even wait until the show ended XD I went by myself so I didn't stay long, especially since I knew I couldn't get another snake right now. So instead... I got my first tarantula She's an Aphonopelma Chalcodes or Arizona Blonde and she's a sweetheart (She's small, but there's a 60/40 chance she's female, she has lots of female tells through her legs and abdomen, so fingers crossed ) I also picked up a Brachypelma Vagans/Mexican Red Rump for a friend who'll be picking (again, hopefully) her up next weekend. Plus I got a Dubia starter kit from Don, thanks again

What did everyone get?? There were a ton of amazing prices there. Go figure, when I have absolutely ZERO rack room. lol

It was a pleasure meeting you and glad you finally introduced yourself after avoiding me for the last several shows! Hope those dubias do well for you.

What is really funny is that we had orders for two colonies of Dubias. My wife put together five. We had them under the table and somehow word spread and we sold out, even though we never advertised them or showed them. I can just see it, some guy walks up to another and says "psssssst, do you know where I can get some roaches?". Then they are directed to our table. We even had someone come up and ask after we had sold out! Should have brought more of them!

Lol dealing roaches like drugs XD And the colony is settled in in their tub. My puppy thinks they're fascinating and was very disappointed when I shut the top down. The roaches seem to love grapes. lol I'm glad you got some good business!!

And as far as my social awkwardness... let's just say I am faaaaar more eloquent virtually

Thank you! They are gorgeous girls, from Arachnids RVA. I must say, their T's are gorgeous, very healthy, and these two are so mellow and sweet. The Blond was out on the table just sitting next to the laptop for a long time. They were both so gentle that they let Monica flip them over and try to guess their sexes. They're really cute! If I take to T's (and they take to me), I will definitely be getting more T's from Arachnids RVA!!!

They are one of my favorite vendors! They put up a hot spot and shared the password with other vendors. Nice guys!

When I first talked to them at the show in July, Monica put up with some very stupid questions from me (I had never kept or even considered keeping a T before, so I was horribly unresearched on the matter) with patience and humor and was very, very nice. She gave me some great information and advice. I knew when the time came to actually get a T, it would definitely be from her. I'm not sure what the guy's name was, but he was really nice about letting me see the different Blonds they had and playing with them on the table

You're right, there was a lot of great deals we werent going to get anything....and we ended up getting another leo AND a tank for her because she was not similar in size to our other female :/ oh well great deal on her, and shes awesome colors!
