Vary nice shots. I see a green heron and the water snake at a pond maintance account tust about every week.

I saw a bird kinda like that one that did some funny behavior. It stuck its head straight up in the air and started rocking back and fourth almost looked like a bunch of grass moving in the current. only problem with this was it was a wet weather pond and there isnt any current. Ever seen anything like that?

I believe the behavior you are describing is a hunting tactic, but I don't know much about birds.

I think it was trying to hide from me, only because it was looking straight up instead of looking down
