Wow, what are the odds....

I bred a Pied male to a big Spider female hoping to produce Spider het Pieds. She laid 9 eggs. One went bad, the neonate was a spider that became deformed during incubation and died. The other 8 are ALL normal, Het Pieds. Glad I bought a Spied to kick start this project. Not a single spider in the bunch. What are the odds of that?

Then I came home from Vegas last night and this morning found this:



A dozen eggs from one of our big normal girls!

Yeah those are really bad odds, but at least you now have a 12 egg clutch!

That's a nice big clutch! Crossing my fingers for some spider het pieds for you. If you don't get them in this clutch, the Odds Gods just don't like you.

Well, her main pairing was a Killerbee but I also ran a Pied through once. My Pied will breed with a hotdog if I threw it in with him. He locks with everything. I'm thinking all het pieds, but hoping the killerbee proved himself.
