| Despite the cool temperatures and gusty wind, did a little after lunch herping. Found the following critters:
2 - common watersnakes 7 - spotted turtles 3 - common five-lined skinks 3 - snapping turtles 4 - bullfrogs 1 - green frog 5 - pickerel frogs
Was surprised not to see any common ribbonsnakes. | |

| Nice!!! I went out today with SNAKE FORCE 1 at the Rappahannock National Wildlife Refuge with Snake Force 1. Only caught 2 racers and 2 got away. | |

| Some photos from this weekend. Common Watersnake - These patternless specimens are found in the Potomac drainage, from Arlington to Quantico. An American Coot Skinny bullfrog Eastern Painted Turtles A pair of Green-winged Teals (Male in the foreground, female in the background) Muskrat Red-bellied Cooter with Eastern Painted Turtle Southern Leopard Frog Spotted turtle basking Spotted Turtles breeding Three spotted turtles | |
