Mazuri 6F

I know there was a post about this before but I wanted to let everyone on the Peninsula know that Clark Feed & Seed in Hampton (1000 Old Big Bethel Rd, Hampton, VA 23666 (757) 838-1555) will order Mazuri 6f for your little rodents. I was there the other day and they said it will take a couple of weeks to get in. I figured you should know when you are getting low and order accordingly. 50 lb bag for 22.50. They take your # and will call you when it gets in and you don't have to pre-pay. Beats driving all the way to Suffolk.

Good to know. That is still a pretty good price for 6F.

Well, I figured you would spend the difference in gas going to Suffolk plus the time it takes to get out there.

I will still go to Suffolk because I buy 15-20 bags at a time. So the 60-80 dollars I save make it worth the trip. But it's always nice to have a backup.

15 to 20 bags!? Do your rats eat that much?

I have noticed that my rats are eating less of the 6F than the Doggy Bag dog food I was feeding them. I was going through 8-10 40lb bags of dog food a month. 20 bags of 6F is 2-3 months worth of food for me. I produce 600-800 rats a month in my little 12 x 8 rat building.

That's a lot of dang-dong rats!
