A friend showed me that photo this morning.  Very cool.

Last I heard on this when it first came out a ~ year ago is that there are a handful of these snakes somewhere in captive husbandry if I'm not mistaken, but do not know where in the world they are. It would be cool to see their gene pool grow and these spectacular looking snakes make a comeback.

It would be very cool. But what I have read... the small handful that they did have in captivity were to difficult to maintain or even figure out the proper diet and have since then died  

That's unfortunate. I hadn't heard anything more on them and hadn't really looked into them anymore. Maybe one will resurface sometime

I really hope so. Seeing anything "new" thrive is always cool.
