Garter Snakes and Other Wild Snakes

Where and when do you normally find a garter snake, or another kind of wild snake (like a green snake)?

Here in the beach I find garters around my pond a few times a year, most of the time in spring and late summer. I havent found a green snake yet but Iam looking.

I always look when I got to my parents ranch in Carolina. They say they see them all the time but I have yet to find one. KNowing my luck, I'll end up running into a hot first.

Sound's about right I dont look for em and thats when I usually find them.
