Hello from the NRV! Empty
PostSubject: Hello from the NRV!   Hello from the NRV! EmptyTue Jan 10, 2012 12:22 am

Hello all! I'm answerinbelle, which thankfully is not my birth name. I currently live in the NRV, but am hoping to get back to the Richmond area, which is where I am from.

I currently do not have any herps (sad face), but am looking to get a corn snake any day now, if only I can find someone to sell me one! I have never had a snake, although I have cared for them at my volunteer job, and I am wary of getting a baby. However, the pet stores locally only sell babies and Craigslist has come up empty (first time for everything!).
I have a 40g all set up and ready for a tenant. It looks really lonely just sitting there.

Any advice for a new snake parent?

I may be wrong, but I think there is a member here that breeds and sells corns. I think it is Curio Creatures.

This guy, I think:

Welcome. I'm in Fairlawn. I personally have always enjoyed buying animals at a young age and growing them out. Still though, our two local pet stores are about the most expensive way to go. Checkout some of the suggestions already made and do not give up on craigslist, especially if you expand your search to the Roanoke. Lynchburg, and Winston Salem/Greensboro areas. Good luck on your search.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!
Rossreptiles, I sent you a message.
Foster, I agree with the pet store sentiment! C&P's staff is really nice, but woah are they high. I shall keep checking CL, I swear if I wanted a ball x1000, a Columbian Red Tail, or it seems like any other common snake I would be set!
