female mojo: great snake but still to small to breed after almost 4 years. Holding up my BEL. Eats only when she wants to and it cant be all white, must be bicolored.

Most snakes including boa and pythons are missing the color sensitive cones in the retina to perceive color. Despite (most) snakes being colorblind, several owners have found that some snakes seem to prefer one color food item over another. Perhaps it is one shade of gray over another?

That's odd. My snakes generally think the white rodents are less frightening. The black ones are like a huge shadow looming.

Miles didn't believe me when I told him that might be why one of ours doesnt want to eat lol. I said because it doesnt like white rats... very interesting.
