Hi guys! Now that most of my guys are adults (most were born 2012), I've noticed my balls aren't eating as regularly as when they were younger. A couple will still take their weekly rat, while others will eat once a month. I have 9, 7 of which are eat live rats.

What percentage of your adult Ball Pythons go off feed/reduced feed in winter?

If you breed your own feeders, do you slow down production?

Thank you!

All of mine do, especially the boys. The exceptions are the females that are building follicles.

Thank goodness that my boas are happy to act as the clean-up crew!

My younger snakes stay on feed through the winter. A couple may go off. Breeding males definitely do and most of my adult females stop in December/January.

Yeah this happens to mine. They are almost ready to breed and this is the first winter they are feeding really slow and almost stopped. My male stopped eating in November.
