Original line Sunkissed Okeetee Empty
PostSubject: Original line Sunkissed Okeetee   Original line Sunkissed Okeetee EmptyTue Dec 02, 2014 10:15 pm

The Sunkissed morph or hypo "B" was first discovered by Cathy Love from breeding her locality Okeetees. It was seemingly a spontaneous mutation that is not compatible with the hypo gene.  It was originally a locale specific morph but has been outcrossed into almost every other morph combination known.  I was lucky enough to find Sunkissed corns that come from the original line of Okeetees that have never been outcrossed to any other morph. No other genes involved here other than the original line. That makes these two true locality specific Sunkissed Okeetees. Another interesting tidbit is that I know of one person who bred their Sunkissed to a wild caught Okeetee locale snake and some Sunkissed popped up in the clutch. This seems to support that this gene is not uncommon from that locality. It is simple recessive not codominate.
