Dominican Red Mountain Boa

I tell you guys and gals, I have never had an animal so difficult to photograph. This fellow is blood red but no matter what technique I try, the colors simply don't show up in photos. Flash on, flash off, indoor, outdoor, etc..
Anyways, still a pretty little guy and quite mellow.

This one is a bit closer to showing the red coloration, but it is nigh on to impossible to capture their full colors and iridescence.

These are very awesome animals, the one Boa on my list of wants.
