PostSubject: Snake Growth    Snake Growth EmptyFri Nov 22, 2013 6:15 pm

I was looking back at pictures of the snakes from earlier this year. It was somewhat nice out and sunny for a few updated pictures. I hadn't posted in awhile so I thought I would post the before and after pictures here.

Thanks. My male is the most calm out of the bunch. He is definitely my favorite snake out of all of them.

Very nice collection

Partial to the Retics Smile Kinda shocked the male is the most calm out of all of them (that may change in the future during breeding times!) I had 4 males at one time all 8-11' and proven one of the four was calm, the rest were hostile.

What "dwarf" line are they by the way?

Hoping to get some Super Dwarfs, or some Gentic Stripe combos next year myself

Thanks! I am also surprised he is as calm as he is. I have heard a lot of stories about males being more flighty and aggressive, especially the dwarfs. I originally wasn't open minded towards the retics, I was leery of their reputation. A friend of mine was really into them and when I saw Houdini I had to have him. It took a lot of talking and assuring me that he is very mild mannered. I am still expecting him to change once he is old enough to breed. He will be two in a few months. I'm unsure of the line of dwarf, both the dwarfs are from Kris Brown at Vital Exotics. I would love to produce genetic stripes, they are one of my favorites, and albino genetic stripes would be amazing.

Well the Genetic Stripes are technically dwarfs but something else accounts for the dwarf in them.

I worry about getting Retics again, as my girl friend is already wants more Retics were far more addictive than any other reptile I've ever owned.

I have to ditto the Angolan.  How's its temperament and handling?  I was told they can be sprayers but haven't met many owners.

Thanks! He has a decent temperament. He had never sprayed me but he is squirmy and flighty. He also can get pretty loud hissing and making a big show of himself. He has been all bluff so far but I do make sure I tap him with a hook before reaching in.
