A few pics from this morning

Set up the light box this morning and took some pictures so that I could put some snakes up for sale. Decided to take a few of my collection that looked good this morning.

Vary nice animals, and great shots. I wish mine would turn out half as good. (pictures)

Oh Don thank you!!!! We are about to pick up a lesser female next week... gunna put a cinnamon and a pin to her... I think I am hoping more for cinnamon lessers now... awesomeeee! I need me one of those light boxes.

Thanks! The more I work with the light box, the more I learn. I made the light box out of PVC pipe and a sheet. So, they aren't vey hard to make. I have not progressesed enough yet to get an expensive camera. It is just a point and shoot.

Yea, me too. I'm using a simple Sony Cyber-shot. It is just a point and shoot camera on auto setting. I don't know that much about photography, but did learn that a light tent works wonders on shots like this.

I'm learning more each time I shoot and soon I may invest in a more expensive camera. But, for now I'm happy with how my shots are progressing. The hardest thing is to get the snakes to pose properly. With all of the light, they want to run and hide.

i really like that pastave. gorgeous snake. i like the fades its got on its back. very nice.

I hear it is hard to get the snakes to sit/pose long enough to get a really nice shot of them... i guess its a gamble you gotta try but I think mr. handyman at home needs to make one.

I give them a tap on the nose and they usually pull back and coil for a few seconds. Although, there's always that one that likes to haul tail!

My cinny does not respond to taps on the nose. She is very brave and hates to stay still!

our are always active when we take them out except our big albino girl... the rest of them like to explore the second you open their tubs they are coming out of the hide and ready to come visit. I havent tried the tap on the nose so we may have to try that.

It works for a second, so be ready to snap some quick pics. But only a second, smetimes. *face palm* Perhaps a squirt of water.

Ohh yeah ours hate when we mist them.. well not all of them... some of them openly enjoy it and stick around for it... other haul butt to the closest place to hide...

Here is my VPI Axanthic Pastel. What is so amazing is that when I look at her, all I see is black, white and grey. Only in the picture do you see a tint of yellow. I've tried different lighting, but it still does the same. I don't understand how color can come out when you can't see any. This little girl is from Carl Gilmore, who I believe has the best VPI Axanthic Bumblebees on the market. Give me a few years, and I'll have them too! Because, I've also got one of his Bumblebees Het Ax as well.

Those snakes are hot! I'm loving that Cinnamon Lesser. *drool* I'm working on axanthic bumblebees as well. Its going to be a long road though. Starting from scratch and just this year made a bumblebee female. Now I have to produce an axanthic male to breed to her.
