Big snapper

I went fishing today and there was a guy where i usually fish and he ened up snagging a hook in a big snappers tail so i helped him remove it

It's better for the turtle if you support it by the tail and a hind leg.

That's a nice size snapper! I actually came home to one that size belly up in our pond a few weeks ago, it was so sad

Lokielani this is the biggest I've seen in years. That sucks the the one you found was belly up. I was glad to see a big guy like this at all

It seems like people never get to see large ones, but our pond is actually full of them. We have ones that size and have seen bigger walking up our driveway or floating on the surface catching some sun. They eat all of the fish in the ponds too, I always wonder what else they are eating in there because we have lots of bull frogs, American toads, tree frogs and who knows what else!

Nice! He looks piiiiissed LOL. There is a creek around here that holds some giants. I haven't gone looking in ten years but once my son gets a little older, we'll be checking!
