I am trying to figure out just what this guy is. He belongs to my boyfriend and he isn't even sure. We tried going through pics online but that wasn't really of any help.

No he is really that red. I did a search for cherry salmon boa and i got one picture that was as red and it was labeled as cherry salmon but there were tons of other pics labeled cherry salmon that looked like salmons and normal boas?

I never learned much when I was into boas, but I think something else is there also. The pattern seems different and the saddles seem smaller too.

Looks like a very very nice hypo. Blood boas don't get that hypo pattern.

You can't really call anything a "salmon" or a "cherry salmon" unless you know who produced it, since those are not actually morphs, but specific lines of the hypo morph originally produced and coined by Rich Ihle

Yes Mike is right. Salmon is a line of hypo, however, YOUR boa has the visual indicators that the salmon line expresses.

Is there like a site to try and find who produced him? My boyfriend acquired him from someone on craigslist and no longer has any contact info.

That is a ridiculous hypo.. I wouldnt be surprised if it was a designer line. Definitely contact rich and see what he thinks (if you cant get ahold of the guy you got him from)

I used to have a super salmon I got from pete kahl and even that thing wasn't as deep pink as yours. Nice!

I'm not positive, nor very good with boas, but I think a super hypo would look no different from a normal hypo. I think the only difference is a super produces all hypos.

Well a normal female will make it a Lil easier to see if multiple genes are at play or not

I agree with Grymm. And if it does not produce more offspring like it, I would breed one of the offspring back to it. Then you can produce more of the same, and I KNOW they will sell! Gorgeous!

Sounds like a fun plan. Gonna be a bit though he is still pretty small, only eating small rats at the moment.
