| Welcome!
I think in the end you're going to have to buy a female if you want to breed. I know that for me and just about everyone I know if we have a female then we have a male for her. And that goes doubly so for hets because if a snake het for a recessive morph is bred to a snake that is not het or homozygous for that same morph the value of the clutch drops by hundreds to thousands of dollars (and in the case of sunset balls probably millions).
But if all you want is a baby male and female 50 dollars could get you a normal pair. | |

| Hello and welcome! I think this website should help you with understanding ball genetics a bit better: http://www.worldofballpythons.com/wizard/And this site was really useful for me when I first decided to start breeding: http://www.ballpython.ca/gallery/breeding.htmlIf you have a normal male, I don't think breeding him to a het female would be very productive for you. Good starter base morphs, in my opinion, are spiders, pastels, and mojaves. They're not too expensive and they're always available. If you're stuck on breeding him to a het, het albino females are usually $100+, although you could probably pick up a breeder-size normal female for around that price. Good luck! | |
