Names John and I am in Yorktown. I just started this little adventure with my 5 year old son. He has been bugging his Mother since last spring for a snake. Someone brought snakes to his pre-school last year and he was hooked. My wife said "no" for the longest time but when she found out there could be money in it, she gave me the go ahead. I have a male bumblebee and 3 adult normal females. I dont think the bee will be ready this season so I am going to pick me up an adult male soon. I will be going to the Richmond show on Oct 30. Do you think I stand a good chance of finding an adult male there? Anyway, I am super excited to begin this hobby and even more excited to find out that there is a local community of breeders and enthusiasts. Thanks.

Welcome Aboard! Sounds alot like me with the NO for snake answer. but I gave in and here we are 13 months later with 11 balls Smile soon to be 12 and maybe 13 depending what else we find at the Tinley show in Illinois Smile

You may have a good chance of finding an adult male up to breeder size and there are several of options in the area from others selling their snakes. Keep an eye on the classified ads too.
