I don't know if this is real, but if so it's just one more blow to the reptile community that the Caiman was probably someone's pet that they let loose. People are so irresponsible!!!

Lucky for the Caiman it was a reptile enthusiast. Could have gone waaaay worse for the poor thing! I agree, people really need to think about what they're doing when they release an animal. This guy found a new home for this Caiman in just a few days, the previous owner should have had the same courtesy to everyone, including his pet :/
