So I have a couple snakes in quarantine they are doing well. My question is what is the length of time y'all quarantine? Right now my plan is 30days, just curious what others do.

I do closer to 2 months.

I try to do at least 45 days in case mites hatch

It depends upon where the snake came from. If it is a trusted breeder that I know has good quarantine practices and excellent husbandry, then 30 days. Anyone else 60 days.

I would recommend doing more than 30 days like the others have posted. You can never be too safe! Keep us updated on how they do for ya

the only snake we ever purchased from an unknown source was our orange ghost, all of our others have come from pretty much all of the same people. But we haven't had any issues with any of ours yet

60 days unless I have persoally known the seller for a while and know how they manage therir collection.

You never fully know the importance of quarantining until that snake you picked up at the show spreads mites throughout your collection! ;P *facepalm*

I agree with what has been said. I would do a little more than 30 days for snakes from a reputable breeder and 2 months for snakes from an unknown person/show/craigslist. These days one is lucky if the only problem is mites.

I do 30 days if the animal is from someone I know personally (close friend or family), 60 if its from a breeder I know well, 90 days for everyone else.
