new dinker girl

I just picked up a very awesome "normal" female ball she is very dark looks a lot axthanitc or however you spell it. She has a great reduced pattern and has a dark green hue to her. I'm having trouble uploading pics hopefully ill have someup soon.

Can't wait to see her! She sounds beautiful!

It really depends on what you have. If you wanted to try to buy something to pair, I would go with something like a Sterling, Black Pastel, Silver Streak, Cinnamon or something similar. Those are darker morphs that may work well with the darker color of the dinker.

I'd have to agree with Don. With her dark coloration and reduced pattern, she'd make some pretty cinnies or black pastels.

If you breed her with a morph male, she could still prove out. I plan on putting my dinker male with my pinstripe female at some point. If I get some different pinstripes, then I know I've got something, and if I don't, then at least I had a chance at pinstripes.

I wouldn't waste her on a normal male.

Good point. I'd like to put her to a really dark mojave. But all my mojaves are really light ...........

I would breed her with a visual recessive male, like albino. That way at the worst, you have hets. At best, they look normal so you can pinpoint the morph and they are het for albino.

Using this same logic, you could also do Axanthic. Then you would at least have het Ax and the gene might be more noticeable with the Ax combination in the genes. Don't you just love the possibilities? Too bad it takes years to prove them out.

I like that idea too Nick but I have no recessive males just a possible het ghost lesser male which I also got last night and a het pied male. Oh and I got a smoking hot orange ghost lastnight as well.

Years indeed. But this girl is one that you would have to pry from my cold dead hands to get from me. I've got lots of time for her.
