need info on keeping retics

i have jept burms before but not retics i just got my first retic and am just trying to learn more is it better to feed him a small meal once a week or a larger meal every two weeks with my burms the two week cycle helped with there growth rate and they are very healthy just dont wana do the two week cycle if its bad for my retic
