| Since I've gotten one difficult arboreal snake to feed, I'd like to pick up another arboreal snake, perhaps one that isn't so picky. He/she/it will initially be in a tall tank, like Linus is, with real plants, full spectrum lighting and a proper terrarium setup.
I'm out of the loop on what's easy/available to come by, I know of Green Tree Pythons, Emerald Tree Boas, Amazon Tree Boas and my Solomon Islands Boa.
Any other options?
The tank will be tall, 12"x12"x18", a zoo med/exo terra tank.

| do some research and find something you really like!! Don't just buy to have something, make sure it is something that you will really enjoy having as well as you know all the ins and outs to their husbandry before you get it. That always makes things a lot easier... | |

| Understood. I've been in the hobby for nearly 30 years, on and off and much has changed, including species now available that never were before. Hence why I'm asking what's out there so I can do some research. | |

| I forgot to mention that part....I think you have named all the true arboreal species. What exactly are you looking for? Size wise, handable or not etc.? | |

| You would need a bigger cage, but I'd be happy to talk to you about Scrub Pythons. PM me if interested. David | |

| Being a photographer, something striking would be nice, I don't mind getting bitten, I've done Amazon Tree Boas long time ago (80s)
I was wondering if any of the dwarf (pygmy?) pythons from central america were arboreal, but the book I have on snakes mentions them only in passing.
I will look into what a scrub python is | |

| I just snagged a much larger tank, the 18"x18"x24" so that opens up some possibilities for a small waterfall as well. I love green tree pythons, so maybe an option instead | |

| There is much more to choose from in regards to arboreal snakes in the venomous side of things. But I'm not sure that's where you want to venture and would not recommend it, unless you have some experience with them. | |

| I am aware of the "hots" and have no experience, though the desire is strong to have a Temple Pit Viper | |

| Mangroves are interesting species, but if I"m going "hot", I'm going for the neo-tropical pit vipers | |
