| I have a client who purchased a snake from me last season and the snake may have an RI. The vet listed in our sticky is no longer in Virginia. Can someone give a name of a herp vet in that area? Thanks. | |

| Is there anyone up in the Fredericksburg area that can take a look at a BP to see if it has an RI? | |

| They are located inside of Petsmart? Has anyone used them? I'm going to go ahead and get the info to the client. I think any help at this point would be better than none. Thanks. | |

| I'm not so sure Banfield accepts exotic reptiles. You can call to find out. But yeah Banfield contracts with Petsmart and their clinics are inside petsmarts.

| Don,
It would be a bit of a drive, but I'd use Scott Stahl in Fairfax. He is one of the best reptile vets in the US. Don't know if you remember, but he was down with us when we were lobbying in Richmond. Here is his info:
Scott Stahl, DVM, DABVP 4105 Rust Rd Fairfax, Va. 22030

| David, he would be my first choice as well, but I don't think this client is going to drive that far. If he was willing to drive that far, I think he would drive down here to let me see the snake. I'm not sure this is really an RI but think given his concerns a trip to the vet may be in order. | |

| I'm in Culpeper (about 25 minutes from Fredericksburg) if he wanted to meet me half way, I'd be happy to take a look and see if it looks like an R/I. Here is my email if I can be any help. dvmeans@hotmail.com | |

| David, thank you. I've emailed him with your offer. I've offered to look at her too, but I don't think he wants to drive down here. My son is in a state facility in Staunton and we are working on getting him moved, so our weekends are very busy and I have not been up that way.
It is a normal bp female. He says she has not eaten since February. Through questions, I am pretty sure his husbandry is OK. I asked if he heard any wheezing or popping when she breaths and at first he said no. Then later he said that it did seem she was wheezing. I'm not that concerned with the non-eating yet, but the potential for an RI concerned me.
This is his first snake and he seems like he is really trying and interested in doing the right thing. Just wish he was closer so I could help. Thanks again for your offer. | |

| Just an update on this snake. I received an email that she has now eaten and the owner is very relieved. Thank you David for your assistance. | |
