This bill does not exclude or mention the Snake Handling churches in Virginia. This would infringe upon religious freedom. Additionally, if they do make an exception to these churches, then they would have to justify how it is safer for these people to handle these snakes as opposed to everyone else. if the state starts to legislate how these churches must run their services, they will be in clear violation of church/state separation. So this bill must be just simply be killed...if for no other reason. This should be enough to make the legislature think twice.
