| He looks like my George George is quite a bit fatter though. Bosco's a good looking monitor How exactly did you make an egg and rat cake??? Just curious...lol, George loves eggs, but I don't give him rats bigger than ~80-90 grams or more than once a month, what do you feed yours? | |

| got a can blended 4 eggs and calcium powder. Placed a bit of egg in the bottom then layered it egg, rat, mouse, earth worms, egg etx.... then i placed it in a pot of boiling water and let it cook part way. here is a pic of it before he ate it. also here is a pic of him alot was from the side he isn't super skiny i keep him lean tho because to many bosc die from liver problems from being over weight. his diet is shrimp, rats, mice, roachs, earthworms, chicks (hole), chicken liver/hearts, turkey (cooked to lower risk of saminalia), fish-tuna/tilapia, eggs, and small reptiles (good source of vitamins) Now that Ball pyhton season is hear i will be looking for slugs and unfertilized eggs for him. | |

| That's mainly what I feed George (except the seafood), and he gets venison, lamb and superworms. The "cake" was an excellent idea, maybe I will make George one for his bday, he turned 4 on April 16th. He's not fat, he's just bigger, but Bosco's only a year, so he hasn't stopped growing yet! Nick- you always get hungry, although this time, I'm not sure I'd want to eat what Bosco's eating | |

Sorry just saw this. I'm not really sure how to gauge his size, but he's over two feet, his tail diameter is about 7-8", width wise (like if you are looking down at him) at his belly he is about 6.5 to 7". I will take some pics of him when I have time | |

| Bosco started pushing his out alot when he was around 5 months old and about 18 inches or so. If we do the cook out i'll ask Southern Comfort if i can bring him. Best way to see it is to let them run a room for a few hours and just watch them, or put them in a bath tub and most the time thats where they poo, when they poo males squeeze it out and sometimes causes them to push their hemipenes (one or the other since they have 2) out and you have to see it just as he squeezes....(this is like bad reptile porn) | |

| Size, males from birth start growing nonstop for the first year, by the time they hit 1 year old they normaly are around 24-36 inches while females in the first year will only get to about 15-20. After a year females then hit a growth spurt and will grow to their adult size with in the 2nd year reaching about 2.5-3 foot while males will slow down the 2nd year but will continue to grow just not as fast reaching about 3.5-4 foot...some have been recorded reaching 5 foot. Another site you can look at is one me and some of my friends have been working on. there is a section just for sexing some people believe that males and females have different faces i'm not 100% sure. We have a section showing how to build enclosures, stuff about lighting, and all kinds of stuff like i said it's still a working progress getting more info from breeders and things. www.savannahmonitornews.com | |

| Ok I have a question and its one that has bothered me from the time I have gotten my sav until now, do you cycle there lights? And if so what is your cycle? Times, etc. Nothing I have read has given me a good answer, I know its all preference, but I didn't see anything on your page so I thought I would ask | |
