| Wow! Your collection must be really awesome to produce babies like this! I'm a sucker for the red-orange beardies If I got another beardie, I'd definitely get a red or orange. | |

| Wow! Those are the most colorful BDs that I've seen.
As they age do the colors decrease, increase or pretty much stay the same? | |

| Thanks for the kind words everyone! It really depends. Most dragons hatch out a with little color (if any) then the color starts to brighten and saturate around 3-6 weeks old. I would say most dragons (like those from big box stores, etc) will tend to lose much of this color as they age. Good quality dragons, especially those with the hypo gene, often retain their color. Like with so many other animals, parents are a good (but not a be all end all) indicator. Many of the dragons from Cheshire x Jabberwocky have actually dramatically increased in both brightness and saturation as they age. I've been really intrigued by this and am working on a Cheshire line (next pairing will be her with the hypotrans dragon in the first pic). Since multiple hatchlings have displayed this trait, I'm inclined to believe it's a genetic attribute and needs to be explored. As an example, here's an older picture of the second dragon from above at about 6 weeks old. I initially had him up for sale but then realized there was something going on behind the scenes with his color. Picture of above Dragon #2 at six weeks old... almost like two different dragons! | |

| Brian I love your Beardies. I swear IFFFF I ever get around to getting one I am purchasing from you. I love all of the coloring... especially the oranges and reddish colors. | |
